Fair enough. I do think it is very important to keep in mind that…

…the right’s concerns about immigration are almost entirely related to the illegal sort, and it’s not just because of the people coming — it’s as much a concern about the fact that DC, and primarily Democrats, allows violations of our laws and sovereignty with impunity. That is infuriating, regardless of the effect of the lawbreaking.

The same can be said of the mass violations of election law back in 2020: Yes, there is a concern about the integrity of the election result itself, but there is an equal concern about the nonchalance with which officials (again, primarily Democrats) feel they can ignore democratically passed laws they don’t like. That’s an unhealthy place for a so-called democratic republic to be.
